“Fundamental FTTH Planning and Design,” by David Stallworth, OSP Design and Product Manager (Monday, September 22 - 2:00PM).
This presentation will provide information and fundamental planning that can help make economical decisions based on an ideal configuration for feeder routes for a small or large city or area. Fundamental planning is defined as determining where to geographically place fiber feeder routes in a city or development, feeder boundaries, centralized splitter cabinets, and how to size splitter cabinets. 

”Understanding and Optimizing MDU Optical Cabling Systems,” by John George (Tuesday, September 23 - 3:45PM).
This presentation will describe and analyze the latest options for fiber cabling systems that deliver FTTH services to apartment and condominium units, and focus on their cost, reliability, and performance. New technologies such as plug-and-play indoor cabling systems, bend-insensitive fiber cables, and spooled distribution systems will be considered along with traditional splicing based approaches. A cost model and general guidelines will be presented to help guide optimized fiber to the MDU deployments.

“How Long is Long-Haul in a FTTH World?” Poster, by Guyton Swindell, Field Applications Manager, and Dave Mazzarese,  Technical Manager, Fiber Systems Engineering (Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September 23 - Times of poster sessions to be announced).
